Overview:
We’re looking for a Content Writer to join our team in a fully remote role. You’ll create, maintain, and distribute communications and content across various channels, working with established templates and processes. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your writing skills while supporting internal and external communications, employee engagement initiatives, and technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
Communications and Content Development
Create, edit, and distribute internal and external communications using established templates and messaging standards. Write newsletters, announcements, presentations, and digital content for assigned initiatives and audiences using tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Google Drive. Publish and update content on team pages, announcements, job aids, and employee resources. Translate business and technical information into clear, audience-appropriate communications. Coordinate content timelines, reviews, approvals, and deliverables within established project plans.
Employee Engagement Support
Support employee connection, collaboration, and engagement activities. Help coordinate recognition efforts, awareness campaigns, and organizational events. Manage activity details, communications, participant information, schedules, and follow-up actions. Collect participation data and employee feedback, and summarize findings for appropriate team leaders.
Technical Documentation and Knowledge Resources
Create, maintain, and update process documentation, standard operating procedures, job aids, user guides, and training materials using established templates. Maintain communication calendars and content stored in approved repositories. Archive outdated materials and ensure employees can access current information. Gather and verify information from stakeholders to support accurate, timely content.
Measurement and Improvement
Collect and analyze data such as email engagement, event participation, and content usage. Research content gaps, document findings, and recommend practical improvements. Maintain organized records and project documentation.
Skills/background needed:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong editing and proofreading abilities. Ability to translate technical information into clear, accessible content. Good project coordination, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work with established templates, prioritize work, and escalate issues appropriately. Comfortable collaborating with leaders and cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Experience/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred. 2–4 years of communications, employee engagement, technical writing, training, or related experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Drive. Familiarity with e-learning tools and learning management systems is a plus.
Contract length: Permanent, Full Time
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
