Digital Marketing Specialist – Work From Home

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing remote team. This is a hands-on role where you will manage the core systems, channels, and reporting that drive our marketing strategy forward.

Role Summary

You will own the execution of our digital marketing operations, including marketing automation, email campaigns, blog publishing, social media, events, and analytics. You’ll report directly to the head of marketing and have the opportunity to shape this role around your strengths and interests.

We work with agentic AI tools and automation to scale output efficiently — you’ll be expected to embrace this approach rather than handle everything manually.

What You’ll Own

Marketing systems and automation: You will manage our marketing platform, including audience segments, workflows, forms, campaign tracking, and integrations with other tools.

Search visibility: On-page and off-site optimization, technical setup, structured data, site architecture, and optimization for search and AI answer engines. You’ll build measurement systems to track performance.

Email and newsletters: Manage subscription lists, build and schedule regular newsletters, and own list hygiene, segmentation, and deliverability metrics.

Blog publishing and distribution: Coordinate getting published articles live and build exposure through syndication, communities, and cross-posting.

Social media: Manage social channels day to day, adapt existing content into posts, evaluate channel effectiveness, and grow reach.

Analytics and reporting: Track and act on data from analytics tools, search platforms, marketing software, and other sources.

Digital and in-person events: Run webinars and online events end-to-end, and coordinate logistics for conferences and meetups.

Skills/Background Needed

4+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience, ideally in startup or small-team environments.

Experience configuring and managing a marketing automation platform — not just using one someone else set up.

Practical email marketing infrastructure knowledge: setting up opt-in flows, managing contact databases, and diagnosing deliverability issues.

Technical SEO experience you have done yourself: site structure, crawl health, schema setup, and current knowledge of search and AI answer engine optimization.

Self-sufficiency with analytics and marketing tools: analytics platforms, search console, marketing software, and SEO tools.

Experience building and running workflows with AI automation tools — specific automations you have set up and managed, not general familiarity.

Reliability: this role involves recurring tasks that must happen on schedule and be done correctly.

Nice to Have

Paid advertising experience with search or social platforms.

Experience marketing to technical or developer-focused audiences.

Familiarity with markdown-based publishing workflows.

Light editing of technical content written by others.

Experience managing external contractors or agencies.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a content writing role — our team produces the blog posts and articles. You manage, project plan, and distribute that work.

This is not a design role — visual creative is handled elsewhere.

You do not need to understand our product internals, but familiarity with software development concepts is a plus.

Long-Term Growth

We are hiring an individual contributor now, but as the team grows, this role may evolve into leading a small marketing team. We’re looking for someone with the ambition and judgment to step into that responsibility when the time comes.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote role. You will work from home and collaborate with a distributed team. Reasonable overlap with team members across different time zones is important. No travel is required for this position.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract Length: Ongoing.

Location: Open to applicants worldwide.
