Roles: Technical Writer and Editor
Position Summary
Develop, edit, and quality-review scientific, technical, policy, training, and public-facing documents. You’ll support the creation of a high volume of content across multiple programme areas. In this role, you may develop or refine annual reports, evaluation summaries, technical-assistance tools, manuscripts, success stories, issue briefs, guidance, training materials, presentations, web language, and executive products while coordinating review processes and ensuring plain language, references, accessibility, and editorial consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and edit reports, manuscripts, briefs, guidance, toolkits, training materials, presentations, and web content
- Perform substantive editing, copyediting, proofreading, fact checking, and reference review
- Translate technical and scientific information without compromising accuracy
- Coordinate review processes, reconcile comments, and maintain version control
- Apply plain language, editorial standards, accessibility requirements, and approved templates
- Prepare publication-ready and leadership-ready final products
Skills/background needed: Bachelor’s degree. At least 5 years of experience writing and editing scientific, technical, public health, policy, evaluation, or government content. Experience supporting complex review and clearance cycles, references and citations, plain language, accessibility, manuscripts, reports, briefs, training resources, presentations, and web content is a plus. Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, timely, and high-quality work in a multidisciplinary, deadline-driven environment. Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, organization, judgment, and client-service skills.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Contingent upon contract award and approval as applicable.
