About the role:
We’re looking for a Content Specialist to join our team on a fully remote basis. You’ll work on designing and developing training materials and learning programmes for various audiences. This role involves creating instructional content, managing training projects, and ensuring that learning activities are effective and meet organisational goals.
You’ll use adult learning methodologies to help analyse training needs, develop onboarding and leadership development materials, and monitor how well training programmes work. You’ll create strategies, course materials, and assessments using a mix of approaches—including online learning, virtual sessions, and instructor-led training.
What you’ll be doing:
• Work with teams across the organisation to design and develop training solutions that address real learning needs
• Manage instructional design projects from start to finish
• Design multiple training projects at the same time, create project plans, and coordinate resources to meet deadlines
• Create and maintain training materials for both in-person and online delivery
• Develop train-the-trainer programmes in partnership with other departments
• Identify and use technology to support remote training sessions
• Audit and update training materials to keep them current and effective
• Help shape long-term strategy for online learning, mobile learning, and virtual classroom approaches
• Present to groups, lead meetings, and influence stakeholders
• Manage training budgets effectively
Skills and background needed:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage projects and work with vendors to see them through to completion
• Good time management, self-motivated, and able to prioritise
• Confident presenting to groups and facilitating meetings
• Understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them in workplace settings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience or familiarity with Learning Management Systems
• Ability to adapt training to suit different learning styles
• Comfortable working in virtual environments and maintaining strong communication during remote meetings
Education and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Experience in training development, instructional design, or related work
• Background in creating and implementing training programmes
• Knowledge of training and development practices and best practices
• Prior experience training or developing others is a plus
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
