Position Overview
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Email Marketing Coordinator to join our remote team. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of email campaigns—from planning and scheduling to deployment and analysis—working with our email marketing platform to support multiple clients and high-volume campaign calendars.
This is a great opportunity to develop hands-on expertise in email production, campaign management, and quality assurance while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. Full training will be provided to help you succeed.
What You’ll Do
• Build, test, schedule, and deploy email campaigns using industry-standard email platforms
• Manage email lists, segmentation, templates, and personalized content variations
• Write and edit responsive HTML and CSS for email templates
• Perform detailed quality checks on copy, links, audience targeting, and dynamic content before campaigns go live
• Maintain organized campaign schedules and coordinate deadlines, approvals, and asset requirements
• Monitor email delivery performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Support onboarding activities for new email program participants
• Track opt-ins and opt-outs and maintain accurate campaign records
• Document workflows and create helpful guides for the team
• Collaborate with marketing, data, and client service teams to ensure campaigns launch on time and accurately
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, and efficiency
Skills/Background Needed
• 2+ years of hands-on experience producing email marketing campaigns (or equivalent)
• Experience using an email service provider or marketing automation platform
• Comfortable writing and troubleshooting HTML and CSS, especially for responsive email design
• Familiarity with email segmentation, personalization, templates, and basic automation
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns and tight deadlines
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
Bonus Experience (Not Required)
• Hands-on experience with specific email platforms and their segmentation, catalog, and reporting features
• Experience with CRM systems
• Background managing email programs for multiple clients, brands, or business units
• Work in high-volume email production environments
• Familiarity with email testing and quality assurance tools
• Previous experience in nonprofit, fundraising, membership, public media, or mission-driven organizations
• Background in agency work, e-commerce, associations, higher education, or subscription services
