We’re looking for an entry-level social media creator to help share stories that matter. You’ll work across multiple platforms to create posts that people actually want to engage with and share.
The work involves finding strong visuals, writing clear and compelling copy, and adapting content so each platform feels natural and isn’t just a repetition. Every post goes through an approval process before it goes live, so you’ll have support and feedback as you work.
Platforms you’ll work with: Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky
Roles: Social media content creation, copywriting, visual selection
Rate: Volunteer (unpaid). Potential to transition to paid work based on performance. School credit may be available.
Contract length: 8–12 weeks
Hours: 8–12 hours per week, fully flexible around your schedule
Location: Remote – work from anywhere
Skills/background needed: No prior experience required. You should have a strong sense of what makes content shareable and engaging. Familiarity with social media platforms is helpful but we’ll train you on everything else. The ability to write clearly and adapt your tone for different audiences is key.
What we’re looking for: We want to see your instinct for good content. Submit 5 social media posts you’d actually show a friend (your own or someone else’s work), and 3 sentences explaining a news story that you think should have been explained more simply. No cover letter needed.
Why join: This is a chance to build real portfolio work, develop social media and copywriting skills, and potentially move into a paid position. You’ll have full training and feedback throughout, and work with a supportive team in a fully remote environment.
