Role: Legal Writing Instructor
Contract length: Full Time
Location: Open to applicants worldwide. Fully remote with one annual three-day on-campus residency (travel and accommodation covered).

About the role:
We are seeking a Legal Writing Instructor to join a remote teaching team delivering legal education to students in an online and hybrid programme. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position based entirely from home.
You will teach two online sections of legal writing classes per semester, with approximately 20 students in each section. Your teaching will focus on foundational legal writing skills, research methods, written and oral communication, and advanced advocacy techniques. Classes are delivered synchronously (live) over video, and you can teach from anywhere in the world.
Beyond classroom instruction, you will contribute to the wider mission through committee participation, attendance at virtual campus events, and engagement with colleagues and the public on matters of legal importance and social justice.
Skills/background needed:
• A law degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Legal work experience in your professional background
• Demonstrated experience teaching, either in academic or professional settings
• Strong research and writing ability, with examples to share
• Experience teaching online or in residential classroom environments (or both)
