Position Overview
We are seeking a writer to develop professional, compelling materials that communicate projects, capabilities, and value to clients, partners, and business stakeholders. You will take technical information provided by a team, conduct independent research, and transform that information into polished business-development materials.
What You’ll Do
- Review project scopes and technical information to understand capabilities
- Research relevant industries and competitors to understand how similar projects are presented
- Develop clear, compelling messaging and presentation storylines
- Create high-quality PowerPoint presentations and pitch decks from concept through final delivery
- Develop professional brochures, capability statements, project sheets, proposals, and marketing materials
- Translate complex technical information into clear, client-facing content
- Create charts, diagrams, timelines, and visual elements to communicate technical concepts
- Identify key differentiators, competitive advantages, and value propositions
- Ensure all materials are professional, consistent, accurate, and on-brand
- Work closely with technical and business-development team members to gather information and refine materials
- Prepare materials for client meetings, business-development meetings, proposals, conferences, and professional events
Skills/background needed
- Excellent PowerPoint presentation skills
- Strong business and technical writing abilities
- Strong research and competitive-analysis skills
- Ability to understand technical information and explain it clearly
- Strong visual communication and presentation-design skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to independently manage a project from raw information through research, messaging, and finished materials
- Understanding of professional business-development and sales materials
Preferred Tools
Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign, Photoshop or Figma, AI research and content-development tools such as ChatGPT
About This Role
This is a business-development writing position focused on offline and in-person materials. You will work independently to understand technical projects, research the market, determine positioning strategy, develop compelling stories, and produce polished materials ready for professional business-development meetings. Full training and support will be provided.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
