Role Summary
We’re looking for a Live Chat Support Agent to join our student services team. This is a front-line role where you’ll help students and prospective students with their questions across admissions, registration, billing, financial aid, and related enrollment services. You’ll work from a support center and communicate with students via live chat, phone, email, and video calls.
As a Live Chat Support Agent, you’ll be part of a cross-trained team that acts as a one-stop resource for all student enrollment needs. You’ll answer questions, guide students through self-service tools, and escalate more complex issues to specialists. The role involves real-time support, accuracy, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed.
What You’ll Do
• Answer student questions via live chat, phone, email, and video
• Help students navigate the student portal and online enrollment tools
• Assist with admissions, course placement, registration, billing, and financial aid inquiries
• Explain college policies and procedures in a clear, supportive way
• Input data accurately and maintain student records with professionalism
• Work with specialized team members to resolve complex issues
• Attend training, meetings, and orientation sessions
• Support students across multiple communication channels in real time
• Resolve conflicts and provide compassionate customer service
Skills and Background Needed
• Strong communication skills (speaking, writing, and active listening)
• Comfortable working with computer systems and software
• At least two years of customer service experience
• Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Friendly, engaging personality and genuine desire to help others
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools
• Experience with word processing software

Qualifications Required
• Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• At least two years of related work experience in student services or a similar enrollment-focused role
• Experience explaining policies and procedures
• Experience with administrative computer software systems
Schedule
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; Monday, Thursday: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm. Schedule details will be finalized with your supervisor at the time of hire and may change based on operational needs.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract Length: Full Time
