Position Overview
As a Chat Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for employees and users seeking support through live chat and other channels. You will resolve a wide range of inquiries—from technical troubleshooting to account access, payroll questions, and general business process navigation. This front-line role provides direct exposure to multiple departments and systems, making it an excellent entry point for anyone looking to build a career in customer support, business operations, or IT support.
No prior experience required. You’ll receive full training on all systems and processes. We’re looking for someone who is motivated, reliable, and eager to help others solve problems.
What You’ll Do
Serve as a first point of contact for support requests via live chat, phone, and ticketing system
Resolve incoming requests quickly and efficiently, aiming to solve issues on first contact wherever possible
Escalate complex cases to subject matter experts when needed, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
Build and maintain positive relationships with users to foster trust and provide excellent support
Use internal tools and platforms to address and resolve customer needs accurately
Maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures
Demonstrate reliable attendance and professional responsiveness in a fast-paced environment
Skills/background needed:
High school diploma or equivalent
0–2 years of experience in a helpdesk, customer support, or similar role (or equivalent hands-on experience supporting customers or end-users). If you have no formal experience but strong customer service skills, we still encourage you to apply.
Working knowledge of computers and comfort using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Strong written and verbal communication skills—you can clearly explain ideas and listen well to others
Self-motivated and proactive—you take initiative and work with a sense of urgency
Ability to work with accuracy and minimal supervision in a busy, high-volume setting
Excellent customer service and teamwork skills; ability to connect with others and build relationships
Reliable attendance and the ability to meet deadlines
Willingness to work standard office hours and occasional overtime as needed
Experience with AI tools, automation, or process improvement is a bonus but not required
