About This Role
We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our marketing team on a full-time basis. You’ll provide support to the marketing department and help with a wide range of tasks including project coordination, content management, administrative work, and event support. No prior experience is required – we provide full training to help you succeed.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Receive and organize project requests, assigning tasks using project management tools
• Work as a liaison between departments, facilitating communication and collaboration on marketing projects
• Manage content using a content management system – uploading photos, videos, event information, and generating reports
• Handle budget and purchasing requests, track expenses, and prepare monthly budget reports
• Use Microsoft Office and other software to input data, maintain records, and create reports
• Create and maintain online forms and surveys
• Track media activity and prepare reports
• Maintain event calendars and submit event information to community calendars
• Order supplies and manage inventory
• Support marketing and recruiting efforts including events, photo shoots, advertising, social media, mailings, and research
• Answer phone calls and emails
• Coordinate event activities and process reimbursements
• Distribute marketing materials to community partners
• Schedule meetings and provide administrative support to the team
• Assist with live chat support
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills/Background Needed
• High school diploma or GED required
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism in a variety of situations
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks at once
• Ability to work independently and under time pressure
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
• Team player mindset
• Willingness to work occasional evening and weekend events
An associate degree in office technology or business is preferred, as is familiarity with a community college environment, but these are not required.
Physical Demands
This role requires regular use of hands and fingers for keyboards and controls. You’ll sit and reach with hands and arms, and occasionally stand and walk. You may need to lift and move up to 15 pounds when loading office supplies. Good close vision, some color vision, and the ability to focus between documents and a computer screen are required. You’ll work in a moderately noisy environment with light to moderate sound levels.
