Live Chat Support Agent – Seasonal (Entry Level, Full Time)

The Role

As a Seasonal Live Chat Support Agent, you will help customers through enrollment processes and plan updates. You’ll spend your day assisting customers via phone, chat, and messaging, with opportunities to develop new skills as you gain experience. We provide training in a work-from-home environment following an initial onboarding period. Full training is provided—no prior experience needed.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application. Your rate will increase upon successful completion of training.

Contract length: Seasonal role with potential to transition to permanent employment for high performers.

Hours: During busy season, expect 40 hours per week with possible overtime. During off-season and initial training, hours may fluctuate between 32–40 hours depending on client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Build rapport and respond to customers with compassion, meeting their needs via phone, email, and instant message
• Adapt your communication style to different personalities while staying professional and diplomatic
• Handle confidential customer information securely and in accordance with privacy regulations
• Simplify complex plan information and processes into clear explanations customers can understand
• Review plan documents and knowledge resources to identify customer needs and anticipate future questions
• Maintain accurate, detailed notes on all customer interactions
• Collaborate respectfully with colleagues, supervisors, and other team members
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills/background needed:

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills in a customer service setting
• Ability to quickly assess customer concerns and develop solutions
• Comfort working in a structured environment with set schedules and protocols
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Experience using Microsoft Office or similar programs
• Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated
• Comfort learning and communicating in a fully remote, virtual environment
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
• Customer service experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice to have: Associate or bachelor’s degree, knowledge of health and benefits plans, prior call center experience, bilingual skills.

Location: Remote, fully work-from-home role following initial training and onboarding.
