Position Summary:
Join a dynamic social media team focused on creating, curating, and publishing engaging content across social platforms. As a Social Media Content Creator specialising in Reddit, you’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment reaching millions of followers worldwide.
This is a temporary project-based role perfect for someone who is passionate about basketball and deeply familiar with how communities interact on Reddit. You’ll be at the heart of real-time content creation, working alongside a talented team to bring stories to life and engage fans across digital platforms.
What You’ll Do:
• Publish real-time game coverage and content to social accounts, with a focus on Reddit• Write engaging copy for posts before, during, and after games• Work daily with the content creation team to identify trends and publish short-form content optimized for each platform• Assist with managing social accounts and developing content strategies• Help manage special platform features, such as community Q&A sessions• Publish content across additional social platforms as needed
Skills/background needed:
• Strong knowledge of Reddit – how the community works, how fans engage with content, and how to use platform features• Genuine passion for basketball with expert-level knowledge of teams, players, rules, statistics, and league history• Active consumption of basketball content daily; familiarity with the league calendar and major events• Experience writing for social platforms or sports publications (Reddit experience a plus, but not essential)• Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability in a fast-moving environment• Flexible schedule availability, including potential nights, weekends, and holiday coverage based on the sports calendar• Collaborative mindset and willingness to act on feedback• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field preferred, but strong portfolio and demonstrated experience may substitute
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application
