Social Media Assistant – Part Time (Entry Level)

We’re looking for a Social Media Assistant to help manage and create content for social media platforms. You’ll work with a small team to plan, create, and publish posts across multiple platforms, including short-form video content. Most of your work can be done from home, though some on-site time is needed for content creation and team meetings.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll create and edit content for social media platforms, including writing captions, editing short-form videos, and selecting photos. You’ll also help brainstorm ideas for posts, gather content from team members, and make sure everything stays on-brand and aligned with our social media strategy. Your work will be tracked in a shared project management tool so everyone knows what’s being posted and when.

You’ll work collaboratively with your team, receive feedback on your work, and contribute ideas to make our social media presence engaging and inclusive.

Skills/background needed:

You should have some experience with social media and content creation. Video editing experience is important – you’ll need to be comfortable using editing software like Adobe Premiere or similar tools. A portfolio of your previous social media work or graphic design is helpful but not essential. You should be familiar with how social media platforms work, current trends, and best practices for posting.

No formal qualifications are required – we’re looking for someone eager to learn and ready to work as part of a team.

Contract length: 9 months, part time

Schedule: Regular on-site work required, with some flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Location: Local position available with fully remote flexibility for some tasks.

About this role:

This is a part-time, temporary position perfect for someone building their portfolio in social media and content creation. You’ll gain real experience working with a professional team, managing multiple platforms, and creating content at scale. Full training will be provided, and you’ll work alongside experienced colleagues who can help you develop your skills.

We’re an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
