We’re looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Assistant to help manage and grow our social media presence. You’ll be working with a supportive team to create engaging content, build community engagement, and develop your social media skills from the ground up.
No prior experience is necessary—we provide full training and support to help you succeed in this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
Content Creation & Management
• Create and schedule engaging posts across social media platforms, including photos, videos, and written content
• Develop digital content including video editing, graphic design, and creative storytelling to engage audiences
• Monitor content calendars and ensure timely posting of updates and announcements
• Research and implement trending topics and strategies to increase engagement
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all platforms
Community Engagement
• Respond to comments, messages, and community interactions
• Build positive relationships with followers and community members
• Help capture and share real-time content from events and programmes
Teamwork & Communication
• Work collaboratively with the social media team to align messaging
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and stay updated on performance metrics
• Problem-solve independently and support team objectives
Skills/background needed
• Genuine interest in social media and digital content creation
• Basic familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
• Strong written and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and professional approach to deadlines
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and strategies
Nice to have: Experience with content creation tools, graphic design software like Canva, or familiarity with social media analytics. Previous experience in social media management, communications, or any customer-facing role is a bonus.
