About the role:
We’re looking for a creative, organized, and reliable Social Media & Content Assistant to help build and manage our social media presence, video content, podcast, and digital platforms. You’ll work on-site supporting our content creation efforts across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profiles, podcasts, and our website.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll help plan, film, edit, publish, and distribute content. You’ll develop original ideas, coordinate with team members, respond to audience messages and comments, and help keep our content organized and published on schedule. No prior professional experience is required—we provide full training and support.
What you’ll do:
• Help plan, film, edit, publish, and distribute social media and video content across multiple platforms
• Develop original content ideas and create videos tailored to local and community audiences
• Assist with podcast scheduling, guest coordination, recording, editing, and distribution
• Turn longer videos and podcast episodes into short-form clips and social media posts
• Maintain and update the content calendar and publishing schedule
• Monitor social media comments and messages, and respond professionally
• Assist with managing online reviews and crafting thoughtful responses
• Upload approved content to our website and digital platforms
• Help organize office, studio, and equipment resources
• Support other team members as needed
Skills/background needed:
• Strong interest in social media, video production, podcasting, or digital marketing
• Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Business Profiles
• Basic video filming and editing experience (or willingness to learn) using tools like CapCut or Canva
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable appearing on camera and interacting with the public
• Creative, reliable, and professional approach to work
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good judgment when handling confidential information
• Reliable transportation for occasional local filming and events
