About the role:
We’re looking for a Content Writer and Instructor to develop training materials and teach courses in technical subjects. You’ll create lesson plans, presentations, and courseware, then deliver engaging instruction to students. This is a full-time, fully remote position with opportunities to grow your instructional design and technical writing skills.
What you’ll do:
• Develop and write training materials including lesson plans and presentations
• Review and edit courseware for accuracy, clarity, and flow
• Teach technical courses to groups of varying sizes, both in-person and virtually
• Gather student feedback through surveys and use it to improve course content and delivery
• Tailor training content for different audiences and learning styles
• Support student progress through mentoring and feedback
• Coordinate with team members to ensure training quality and consistency
• Participate in training exercises and new equipment training as needed
Skills/background needed:
• Experience teaching or developing training materials for technical subjects (or willingness to learn)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain complex topics in clear, accessible language
• Confidence presenting to groups
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to incorporate feedback and adapt teaching methods
• Valid driver’s license
Nice to have:
• Industry certifications in IT or related fields
• Prior military service or experience in defence or government training
• Experience with learning management systems or instructional design tools
Contract length: Full Time
