About the role:
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Content Creator to help manage our social media channels and produce engaging content across multiple platforms. You’ll be responsible for creating compelling stories and visual content that resonates with our audiences, maintaining brand consistency, and contributing to our overall online presence.

What you’ll do:
• Create and schedule engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Snapchat
• Develop social media graphics and visual content using design tools like Canva
• Write clear, compelling copy for online publications and social media posts
• Gather information and create feature content that engages target audiences
• Monitor and analyze content performance using analytics tools
• Stay current with social media trends and suggest creative ways to keep channels fresh and engaging
• Collaborate with team members and multiple departments on content projects
• Edit video content and create motion graphics where needed
• Work with social media management tools to organize and publish content
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a related field
• Proficiency with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube; basic knowledge of LinkedIn and Snapchat
• Experience creating content for social media and digital publications
• Ability to use analytics to evaluate and develop online content
• Strong writing skills and ability to adapt tone for different audiences
• Experience with design software such as Canva
• Familiarity with social media management tools
• Ability to work under deadline pressure with accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfortable gathering information through interviews and interactions with various audiences
Nice to have:
• Experience in content creation within higher education
• Photography and videography skills
• Video editing and motion graphics experience
• Knowledge of AP Stylebook conventions
• Experience working with committee structures and cross-functional teams
Work arrangements:
This is a fully remote position. Core working hours are 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, with flexibility for occasional weekend and after-hours work during campaign launches or time-sensitive projects.
