About the role:

We’re looking for a creative and organised Social Media & Content Specialist to help develop engaging content across our digital channels. You’ll work on storytelling, copywriting, and creating content for social media, email, websites, and print materials. Your role will support our marketing and communications efforts, helping translate organisational priorities and impact stories into clear, compelling messages for different audiences.

What you’ll be doing:

Content Development & Storytelling

• Develop written and graphic content for social media, email, website, print materials, and presentations

• Help identify strong story angles and gather background information for content

• Conduct interviews and draft mission-driven content for target audiences

• Create press releases, announcements, and other communications materials

Creative Content & Campaign Support

• Adapt and develop content for multiple formats and channels

• Respond to internal marketing requests and help clarify needs

• Collaborate on the development of creative campaigns

• Help identify marketing gaps and recommend content solutions

Multimedia & Creative Asset Coordination

• Repurpose existing content across different channels to extend reach

• Coordinate photo and video shoots, including scheduling and logistics

• Identify opportunities to turn stories, events, and campaigns into social media and email-ready content

• Organise and manage the creative asset management system, ensuring photos, videos, graphics, and templates are properly stored and accessible

• Collect assets from partners, donors, and internal teams

Design & Production Support

• Provide basic graphic design assistance for social media graphics, presentations, and digital assets

• Ensure content and visual materials are accurate, polished, and brand-aligned

• Coordinate project timelines, approvals, and final asset delivery

• Manage project details, source materials, edits, and deliverables

Skills/background needed:

• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills

• Ability to communicate complex information in a clear, accessible way for different audiences

• Good project coordination skills – comfortable managing multiple assignments and shifting priorities

• Basic graphic design skills and an understanding of layout and visual consistency

• Comfortable working with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

• Experience or familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn)

• Experience with email marketing, content management systems, or digital asset management systems is a plus

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, public relations, or a related field is preferred but not required
