Social Media Coordinator – Part Time (Entry Level)

About the role

As a Social Media Coordinator, you’ll create, edit, and manage engaging short-form video content that drives brand awareness and engagement. You’ll film and edit videos for social platforms, maintain consistent posting schedules, monitor trending topics, and work with the on-site team to amplify community experiences. This is a flexible, part-time position with a minimum 6-month initial term, with potential to extend based on performance.

What You Will Do:

Content Capture

• Film and photograph events, activations, and community gatherings

• Publish content in real time during events and special occasions

• Capture authentic content that showcases tenant businesses and local experiences

• Be comfortable filming on location and appearing on camera as a representative of the brand

Content Creation and Editing

• Edit short-form video content using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software

• Create engaging videos with captions and on-brand text overlays aligned with brand guidelines

• Optimise content for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook (Reels, Stories, and feed posts)

• Monitor comments and direct messages on assigned channels, responding to community questions

• Maintain a consistent daily posting schedule across platforms

Social Media and Community Support

• Monitor social media trends and identify timely opportunities to engage audiences

• Collaborate with the team to build monthly content calendars

• Coordinate with local businesses to create authentic, collaborative content

• Prepare monthly summaries of content performance and share insights with stakeholders

What You Bring:

• Experience creating short-form video content (or a strong portfolio demonstrating this ability)

• A genuine understanding of social media platforms, current trends, and what engages audiences, especially younger demographics

• Comfort being on camera and representing a brand authentically

• Familiarity with video editing software and willingness to learn new tools

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent posting schedules

• Ability to take direction, collaborate with a team, and work independently

• No prior professional experience required – full training will be provided

Work Environment

• 24–29 hours per week with flexible scheduling

• Minimum of two weekdays per week on-site (required)

• Approximately two weekend days per month may be required based on business needs

• This is an in-person role requiring you to create, film, and edit content on-site
