Social Media & Content Manager – Entry Level (Remote)

We’re looking for a creative, digitally fluent storyteller to join our team. You’ll understand that great social media is about creating community, building a brand, and encouraging others to be part of something special. This role produces engaging content across multiple platforms, supports key business goals, and celebrates authentic stories. If you love creating content, understand what makes people stop scrolling, and want genuine creative ownership, this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Do:

Social Media Strategy & Management

Develop and execute a social media strategy designed to increase awareness, engagement, and reach across key business objectives. Manage the organization’s presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms. Create and maintain an active content calendar. Write compelling captions, headlines, hooks, and calls-to-action. Monitor comments, messages, and mentions, responding appropriately. Identify opportunities to increase reach through trends, hashtags, and collaborations. Stay informed about new platforms, formats, and digital trends.

Content Creation

Capture high-quality photo and video content. Develop short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging formats. Concept, shoot, edit, publish, and optimize original content. Tell authentic stories through various angles and formats. Develop recurring content series and campaigns that build recognition. Create content for different audiences, recognizing that each needs a different approach. Repurpose long-form content into short-form social assets. Maintain an organized digital library of photos, videos, graphics, and content assets.

Campaign & Recruitment Support

Work with team members to develop content that generates interest and inquiries. Support recruitment campaigns across domestic and international markets. Create campaigns around key deadlines, events, and organizational initiatives. Develop content that communicates the organization’s unique value. Track social activity that contributes to website traffic, inquiries, and conversions. Test different messages, creative approaches, and audiences, using data to inform decision-making.

Community & Ambassador Development

Identify community members who can authentically represent the brand. Develop an ambassador program that encourages user-generated content. Coordinate social media collaborations with relevant partners and audiences. Work with leadership to establish appropriate guidelines for community-generated content. Identify potential external creators and influencers whose audiences align with organizational goals.

Mentoring & Program Development

Develop and maintain a structured social media and content program for emerging creatives and interns. Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and supervise team members. Establish clear expectations, assignments, and performance measures. Create opportunities for others to develop real-world skills in content creation, photography, videography, editing, and social media management. Mentor team members and help build a talent pipeline. Evaluate performance and provide feedback.
