Roles: Social Media Associate

Contract length: 3 months

Time commitment: Approximately 5 hours per week

Location: Remote – open to applicants worldwide

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable person to help us build and grow our social media presence over a 3-month period. This role is ideal if you enjoy engaging with online communities, spotting trends, and helping organisations connect meaningfully with their audience. There’s strong potential for this to transition into a longer-term opportunity based on your performance and how well you fit with the team.

About the role

You’ll work fully remote at a flexible pace (around 5 hours per week) to support our online community. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Schedule and publish content consistently across Instagram and TikTok, including stories and feed posts
  • Monitor comments, messages, and mentions; engage with the community in a timely and authentic way
  • Brainstorm and suggest content ideas that align with current trends and our community voice
  • Track basic performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and follower growth, and share insights when needed
  • Stay informed on social media trends, especially short-form video content, and recommend relevant opportunities

Skills/background needed:

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Some experience managing or contributing to social media accounts (personal or professional – even a year of experience helps)
  • Strong familiarity with Instagram and TikTok, including trending content, posting strategies, and how to engage audiences
  • Reliability and organisational skills – you can post consistently and on schedule
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to community engagement
  • Genuine interest in social media growth and community building

Nice to have:

  • Experience with social media scheduling tools
  • Basic understanding of analytics tools and performance tracking
  • Familiarity with online communities in your areas of interest

What you’ll gain:

  • Hands-on experience managing and growing social media accounts
  • Exposure to content strategy and community building
  • Potential to transition into a permanent role after the 3-month period
  • Full training and support from day one – no prior experience necessary to apply

If you’re enthusiastic about social media, community engagement, and ready to make an impact from day one, we’d love to hear from you. Full training will be provided – this is a great opportunity to build real, portfolio-worthy experience in social media management.
