Role: Social Media Content Creator
Contract length: Volunteer, flexible commitment (approximately 5–10 hours per week)

About the role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic entry-level content creator to help transform long-form video into short, engaging clips (35–90 seconds) optimized for social media platforms. You’ll work with editing tools to create platform-ready content with captions and overlays, write engaging titles and descriptions, and maintain an organized publishing schedule.
No prior professional experience is required – we provide full training and support as you build your portfolio in content creation and social media scheduling.
What you’ll do
- Identify key moments and extract 35–90 second segments from long-form video content
- Edit clips with captions, overlays, and text following provided templates
- Write clear, platform-optimized titles, descriptions, and social media copy
- Prepare content assets such as thumbnail designs and platform-specific variations
- Schedule posts across social media platforms using provided scheduling tools
- Maintain an organized content calendar and track publishing progress
- Provide weekly content suggestions and highlight potential standout moments for review
Skills/background needed
- Basic experience or keen interest in short-form video editing (Canva, or similar beginner-friendly video tools)
- Comfortable learning scheduling platforms and organizational tools like Google Sheets or Notion
- Strong written communication skills – ability to write clear, engaging captions and social media copy
- Ability to commit approximately 5–10 hours per week for at least 4–6 months
- Preferred: familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube; experience with social media best practices
