We’re looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and works well as part of a team. In this role, you’ll compose and maintain digital communications across multiple platforms, including websites, social media, and internal communications. You’ll help create public awareness of programs and events, manage professional relations, and work with colleagues, partner organisations, the public, and media contacts.
This is a great opportunity to develop real-world communications skills in a supportive environment. Full training will be provided, and you’ll work alongside experienced professionals who are happy to help you learn.
Skills/background needed:
No prior experience is required. We’re looking for someone with:
- Interest in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube)
- Basic experience with photography, graphic design, or video (or willingness to learn)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional approach to managing public communications
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one
A qualification in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field is helpful but not required. Relevant work experience is also valued.
What you’ll do:
- Create and manage content for social media channels
- Maintain and update digital platforms including websites and intranets
- Produce internal and public communications
- Support public relations efforts and community engagement
- Work with officials, partner organisations, and media contacts
- Help plan and promote programs and events
Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (full time). Occasional overtime as needed.
