Social Media Coordinator – Part Time, Entry Level

Roles: As a Social Media Coordinator, you will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of social media platforms. You’ll help create and distribute publicity materials, newsletters, and social media posts. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to build your skills in social media management and digital communications.

What you’ll do:

Assist with managing social media accounts across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. Create engaging text, images, and video content for publication. Help develop and maintain a content calendar, identifying important events and opportunities for social media coverage. Attend events to capture photo and video content. Respond professionally and promptly to questions and comments from the public across social media channels. Provide support to team members with administrative tasks as needed. Edit and produce content for both internal and external audiences. Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices.

Contract length: Temporary, Part Time

Hours: Flexible schedule, averaging approximately 20 hours per week. Some evening and weekend availability may be required for event coverage.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Skills/background needed: You don’t need extensive experience—we’ll provide full training. Ideally, you’ll have some familiarity with social media platforms and basic computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint is helpful but not required. We’re looking for someone creative, organised, and keen to develop their skills. You should be comfortable multitasking, working to deadlines, and collaborating with a team. Ability to work with office equipment, including computers and cameras, is important. A valid driver’s license may be required for some duties.

Location: Local positions available.

Physical requirements: This role is primarily office-based with moderate noise levels. You’ll need the ability to speak, hear, see, and touch. The work involves moving between areas, occasionally bending, reaching, and lifting materials up to 25 pounds. You’ll spend time at a computer keyboard and may sit or stand for prolonged periods. Finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential for typing, filing, data entry, and using office equipment.
