About this role:
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to help develop compelling proposal content for government contracts. You’ll work with subject matter experts and solution architects to transform technical information into clear, compliant proposal narratives. This is a fully remote position ideal for someone with a passion for technical writing and government contracting.
What you’ll do:
• Interview subject matter experts and technical specialists to gather information and draft proposal content
• Develop technical narratives covering areas such as technical approach, management plans, and past performance
• Extract key themes and win strategies from capture and solution teams
• Write and edit proposal sections including executive summaries, risk management plans, and quality control plans
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources
• Attend virtual proposal meetings to ensure complete understanding of opportunities
• Incorporate feedback from review cycles to deliver polished content under tight deadlines
• Collaborate with geographically dispersed, virtual teams
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent professional experience in technical writing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts clearly
• Experience or familiarity with government contracting and proposal development
• Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines
• Comfortable with virtual collaboration and remote work
• Technical background or understanding in areas such as data analytics, cybersecurity, engineering, or operations is a plus
• No prior proposal writing experience required – full training provided
Contract length: Full time
Location: Fully remote – work from anywhere
