About This Role
We’re looking for an entry-level Technical Writer to support manufacturing operations and quality improvements. You’ll work with internal teams to help complete improvement actions, write and review documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This is a fully remote role perfect for someone starting their career in technical writing within a regulated manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
Documentation & Compliance:
• Write, revise, and review manufacturing documentation to meet compliance requirements
• Create and review quality management system records and provide feedback
• Meet project timelines and ensure accuracy in all written materials
Process Improvement:
• Support completion of improvement actions and corrective measures
• Complete effectiveness checks and ensure timely closure of action items
• Work cross-functionally with operations, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to update documents and processes
• Attend alignment meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Project Management:
• Manage quality management system records and track action items
• Support meetings and ensure all necessary stakeholders are involved
• Work independently on routine tasks while learning more complex responsibilities
Skills & Background You’ll Need
• Bachelor’s degree (any field) with willingness to learn technical writing, OR
• Associate degree or medical technical degree with 1–2 years of manufacturing or operations experience, OR
• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience (especially with technical writing or quality assurance exposure)
• Knowledge of current good manufacturing practices and FDA-regulated industry standards (or willingness to learn)
• Ability to work independently with a critical thinking mindset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple action items
• Comfortable building relationships and collaborating across teams
• Ability to identify issues and communicate them clearly to management
