About this role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic entry-level journalist to join our newsroom. In this role, you’ll develop your skills as a multi-platform storyteller—creating compelling stories for television, web, and social media. You’ll learn to shoot, write, produce and edit content, all while building your portfolio and understanding how modern journalism reaches audiences across multiple channels.

What you’ll do:
• Develop and pitch story ideas daily• Research and verify facts for accuracy and credibility• Conduct interviews and build a network of reliable sources• Write, shoot, produce and edit content for broadcast and online platforms• Handle live situations calmly and professionally• Use social media and digital tools to discover and share stories• Enhance stories with creative production techniques, graphics, and multimedia elements• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality• Attend editorial meetings and contribute ideas
Skills/background needed:
• Little or no prior journalism experience—we’ll train you• Strong writing skills and ability to tell stories in an engaging, authentic way• Solid news judgment and ethical decision-making• Excellent communication and organisational skills• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stay calm under pressure• Enthusiasm for digital and social media content creation• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to locations for assignments• Interest in sports journalism (preferred but not required)
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
