Technical Script Writer – Entry Level (On-Site)

About This Role

We’re hiring a Technical Script Writer to join a video production team. You’ll be writing scripts and voiceovers for online video content, with a focus on technical topics. Think: tool comparisons, workflow demonstrations, and in-depth product reviews. You’ll translate complex concepts into clear, engaging scripts that hold an audience’s attention without oversimplifying.

This is an on-site position based at the workplace, where you’ll collaborate closely with video editors and producers day to day.

What You’ll Do

• Write scripts for technical video content, including tool demonstrations, product tests, and explainer videos
• Conduct your own hands-on tests and experiments when needed to validate the content you’re writing
• Write and record voiceover narration for videos that explain workflows, technical concepts, and emerging industry topics
• Research market trends and identify gaps in existing content
• Pitch video ideas to the team based on what’s happening in your industry and what audiences need
• Work with video editors and producers to refine scripts based on visual storytelling needs
• Use research tools and assistants to speed up your writing process and gather technical details

You’ll Thrive Here If

• You can explain technical concepts clearly, even if you’re not an engineer yourself
• You understand how scripts work for video—pacing, hooks, and how words serve the edit
• You’re a self-starter who notices market trends and brings ideas to the team without being asked
• You’re comfortable testing tools and running small demos to validate what you’re writing about
• You have practical experience using industry tools and understand how they work
• You can work independently and make confident decisions about tone, depth, and structure
• You’re reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about explaining complex topics well

Nice to Have

• Previous experience writing or producing technical explainer videos, tutorials, or demos
• Familiarity with basic scripting concepts or how automation tools work
• A portfolio of video scripts or content you’ve created

What We Offer

• Full training and onboarding to help you succeed in this role
• Opportunities to work on content with real audience reach
• A collaborative, close-knit team environment
• The autonomy to shape your work and contribute ideas
• Support for professional growth and development
