We’re building a talent pipeline of writers and editors for potential future opportunities supporting communications work at a healthcare facility. We’re looking for people with a passion for clear, accurate writing and editing who could grow into embedded communications roles.
About the Role
This posting represents potential future opportunities rather than one specific, currently open position. By applying, you’re expressing interest in opportunities that may develop as client and project needs evolve. These roles may depend on future business needs, contract awards, or client requirements, and we may not have an immediate opening when you apply.
Future opportunities are expected to fall into two main tracks:
Writer Track – developing feature stories, long-form content, leadership communications, and public-facing materials
Editor Track – managing the editorial review process and ensuring written communications meet the highest standards for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance
You’d become part of a communications team working with leadership, medical professionals, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders. Depending on your expertise, your work would focus primarily on writing or editing.
These positions would be on-site, five days per week. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not anticipated for these opportunities.

• Write feature articles, news releases, web content, leadership messaging, speeches, and briefings
• Apply professional journalism standards and style guides
• Collaborate with photographers, videographers, designers, and other communications professionals
• Support media relations activities, crisis communications, and community engagement
If you focus on editing:
• Manage the complete editorial process for written communications
• Review, edit, and proofread articles, reports, web content, and leadership messaging for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and tone
• Ensure content meets style guides and applicable regulations
• Conduct fact-checking and source verification, including review of medical and technical information
• Work with subject matter experts to validate content
• Coordinate feedback and revisions among authors, experts, and leadership
• Track documents through complex review, revision, and approval processes
• Develop and maintain organisational editorial standards
• Manage editorial calendars and deadlines across multiple projects

• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
• Judgment and discretion required to work with sensitive information
• Understanding of healthcare privacy regulations or ability to quickly develop that knowledge
• Comfort working on-site five days per week at a healthcare facility – these are embedded, client-facing opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in healthcare communications, military public affairs, federal communications, or another regulated, high-visibility environment
• Experience in journalism, communications, editing, copyediting, technical writing, or public affairs
• Experience managing editorial calendars and multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Experience working directly with senior leaders, clients, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders
• Experience applying professional editorial standards
• Experience translating complex, technical, or medical information into clear, accessible communications
• Experience managing work that requires high levels of accuracy, judgment, discretion, and attention to detail
