We’re looking for an Investigative Journalist to join our newsroom. In this role, you’ll dig deeper into stories, producing 2-3 pieces per week. You’ll work closely with our news leadership team to develop compelling narratives, pitch story ideas, build sources, and take on additional assignments as needed.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, researching leads, developing and maintaining source relationships, and collaborating with the wider team to deliver impactful journalism.
About You:
You have solid news judgment and the ability to identify stories that matter. You’re technically skilled, comfortable working independently, and have experience conducting interviews and gathering information in the field. You’re organised, curious, and driven by the mission of telling important stories your community needs to hear.
Skills/background needed: 2-3 years of reporting experience, strong news judgment, technical proficiency with video and editing, ability to work independently, valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Live shot experience is a plus.
