Technical Writer – Parts Documentation (Entry Level)

Job Purpose

Develop clear, accurate technical documentation for parts catalogs. You’ll work with product information and design files to create materials that are easy to understand and use. The role involves organizing information, coordinating with team members across different departments, and ensuring all materials meet quality standards and delivery deadlines.

What You’ll Do

• Write and edit technical documentation and catalog content
• Work with design files and product data to extract relevant information
• Coordinate typing, design, and distribution of materials
• Arrange for photography and technical artwork as needed
• Find cost-effective ways to produce and reproduce materials
• Plan and schedule writing, design, and production work to meet deadlines
• Review completed materials and suggest improvements to content, format, and presentation
• Communicate regularly with team members and other departments

Skills and Background Needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred, but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to proofread and check work carefully for accuracy
• Comfortable reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics
• Good attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Ability to work effectively with others from different teams
• Experience with technical topics is helpful but not necessary—full training will be provided
