This is a fully remote position where you’ll work from home, creating clear and well-organized technical documentation for a global audience. No prior experience required—we provide full training and mentorship to help you succeed.
About the role
You’ll write technical documentation designed to help users understand complex concepts and solve real problems. Your work will include creating developer guides, process documentation, and instructional materials. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts and engineering teams to understand technologies and translate them into clear, accessible content. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your writing skills in a supportive, global team environment.
What you’ll do
Write clear and well-organized technical documentation for end users and developers; Develop content plans that define goals and select the best formats (text, diagrams, screenshots, or video); Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand technologies and extract the information users need; Research technical topics and learn to interpret source code and technical diagrams; Edit, clarify, and improve technical documents written by other team members; Provide feedback to non-writers on how to improve their written communication.
Skills/background needed
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail; Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and explain them clearly to others; Experience with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or similar writing tools; Comfort working collaboratively with engineers and product teams; A willingness to learn and grow in a technical writing role; Beginner-level familiarity with at least one of the following is helpful (but not required): software development concepts, cloud computing, or IT administration.
