About this role:
We’re looking for a Technical Writer and Editor to join our team on a fully remote basis. You’ll create, refine, and review technical documentation including test plans, procedures, and system specifications. This is an entry-level position with full training provided — no prior experience in defence or aerospace documentation is required.
What you’ll do:
• Write, rewrite, and edit test plans and procedures for technical teams
• Collaborate with working groups to support documentation and process maintenance
• Conduct technical reviews and produce formal documentation packages
• Build subject knowledge by interviewing engineers, reviewing specifications, and studying technical blueprints
• Produce high-quality technical documents that meet industry standards
Skills/background needed:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Willingness to learn industry-standard publishing tools
• Organised, self-motivated approach to work
Nice to have:
• Prior experience with Adobe publishing tools
• Familiarity with aerospace, aviation, or defence documentation
• Experience with technical databases or lifecycle management systems
• Knowledge of military or industry technical standards
