Roles: Grants Writer & Development Support
About this role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team and help develop and write grant proposals and related documentation. You will work on multiple projects, conducting research and sharing grant opportunities with internal teams and stakeholders. No prior grants experience is necessary—full training will be provided for someone eager to learn.
What you’ll do:
Your day-to-day work will include:
Writing and editing proposals and related contracts
Researching grant opportunities and disseminating information to relevant teams
Formatting documents professionally and creating budget spreadsheets
Managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
Monitoring funding databases and tracking opportunities
Collaborating with colleagues across different departments
Skills/background needed:
No prior grants writing experience is required. However, you should have:
Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
1–2 years of administrative, journalism, or communications experience (or equivalent)
Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
Ability to create and format professional documents
Basic spreadsheet skills, including the ability to use formulas for budgets
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
Comfort working independently and meeting deadlines
Research abilities and familiarity with online databases
Professional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams
Willingness to travel locally for meetings and events
Contract length: Full-time, permanent role
