About the role:
We’re looking for a Technical Instructor and Course Writer to develop and deliver training on complex technical topics including networking, cybersecurity, and IT systems. You’ll create training materials, teach live and virtual classes, and refine course content based on student feedback to ensure maximum learning impact.
What you’ll do:
• Develop and write training course materials including lesson plans and presentations
• Edit and review all courseware for accuracy, clarity, and educational flow
• Deliver live instruction to groups of varying sizes, both in-person and virtually
• Collect and analyse student feedback to continuously improve course content and teaching methods
• Adapt your teaching approach for different audience levels and learning styles
• Support students with one-on-one guidance to improve their understanding and skills
• Participate in training exercises and new equipment training sessions
• Conduct end-of-course evaluations and report results
• Proctor certification exams where required
• Mentor other instructors in training delivery and curriculum development
Skills/background needed:
• Current industry certification in IT fundamentals, networking, or cybersecurity (or equivalent demonstrated teaching experience)
• Experience teaching and developing training materials for technical subjects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard desktop applications
• Strong communication skills and ability to present confidently to groups
• Experience tailoring content delivery for different audience types
• Proven ability to counsel and support learners
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work on-site at the training facility
Desirable qualities:
• Prior military service or background
• Experience with tactical communications equipment
• Multiple industry certifications
• Familiarity with training regulations and best practices
Location: On-site position available
Contract length: Full time, ongoing
