About the Role:
As a Service Writer, you’ll be the central point of contact between customers and our maintenance team. You’ll handle phone inquiries, create repair estimates, manage work orders, and ensure clear communication throughout the repair process. You’ll work closely with technicians, customers, and vendors to keep operations running smoothly and deliver excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer customer inquiries and assist with vehicle repair and maintenance requests
• Create accurate repair estimates based on customer needs
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, or fax to provide repair updates and obtain approvals
• Review and enter repair orders into the service database system
• Dispatch and assign work to technicians
• Maintain accurate documentation across all internal systems
• Build strong working relationships with customers and team members
• Support quality service by following organizational standards and safety policies
Skills/background needed:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable using computers and standard office software
• Willingness to learn new software platforms and systems
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Positive attitude and self-motivation
• No prior experience necessary – we provide full training
Previous experience in a related field is a plus but not required. If you have experience with repair order systems or fleet maintenance software, that’s valuable, but we’ll train you on everything you need to know.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent position.
