Technical Writer – Manufacturing Documentation (Entry Level)

About the Role

We’re looking for an entry-level Technical Writer to join our manufacturing support team. You’ll work on creating, reviewing, and managing technical documentation related to manufacturing processes and quality assurance. This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate with manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed on time.

No prior experience in manufacturing or technical writing is required – we provide full training and support to help you succeed.

What You’ll Do

Documentation and Writing:
• Write, revise, and review technical documentation related to manufacturing processes
• Create and review quality management system documentation
• Ensure all documents are clear, accurate, and meet regulatory standards
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather information and verify content

Process Support:
• Assist with deviation investigations and documentation
• Support corrective action and preventive action processes
• Help track and manage change control documentation
• Monitor timelines and ensure on-time completion of documentation tasks

Collaboration:
• Work with Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, and other internal teams
• Attend meetings and contribute to improvement initiatives
• Build strong working relationships across departments
• Communicate clearly with management and team members

Skills/Background Needed

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and think critically
• Comfortable multitasking and managing multiple documentation projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to learn manufacturing and quality processes
• Ability to work in a structured, regulated environment

Education/Experience

We welcome candidates with:
• A high school diploma or GED (or equivalent qualification)
• OR an associate degree in a science or technical field
• OR a bachelor’s degree in any field

Prior experience in manufacturing, operations, quality assurance, or technical writing is helpful but not required. We’ll train you on everything you need to know.

Working Conditions

This is primarily an office-based position. You’ll spend most of your time at a desk using a computer, though you may occasionally visit manufacturing floors or clean room environments to gather information. Comfortable seating, lighting, and temperature control are provided. Most work involves sitting, though short walks to other departments may be required.

If you work in clean room areas, you may be exposed to chemicals, sanitizing agents, and other manufacturing materials. Full safety training and protective equipment will be provided.

Rate

Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
