Communications Writer – Executive Strategy, Remote

Role: Communications Writer – Executive Strategy

About the role

This is a full-time, fully remote position supporting senior leadership with clear, compelling written communications around organisational change, strategy, and sustainability initiatives.

You’ll work at the intersection of change management, executive communications, and strategic storytelling. Your core responsibility is translating complex organisational strategies and priorities into narratives that leaders and teams can understand and act upon. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to shape how major initiatives are communicated across the organisation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adoption.

This role combines change communications, executive speech writing, strategic messaging, and internal engagement—with a focus on making complicated topics accessible to diverse audiences.

What you’ll do

Change Management & Communications Strategy

Design and deliver communication strategies that support major organisational transformations and strategic initiatives. Translate complex change into clear narratives that explain why it matters, what’s changing, and what teams need to do differently. Work with programme leaders to align messaging, timing, and support materials. Develop toolkits, FAQs, and communication assets that help leaders cascade information to their teams.

Executive Communications & Speech Writing

Serve as a communications partner to senior leaders, helping shape their message and narrative clarity. Write keynotes, executive remarks, talking points, and strategic narratives for internal town halls, leadership meetings, and external forums. Ensure communications balance strategic vision with practical credibility. Improve the consistency and impact of executive messaging across channels and audiences.

Strategic Storytelling & Narrative Design

Turn strategy, data, and complex concepts into clear visual narratives that support decision-making and understanding across the organisation. Partner with design resources to create high-impact presentations, storyboards, and visual frameworks. Set a high standard for clarity, narrative flow, and visual cohesion so communications are memorable and easy to understand.

Programme Communications

Own communications for complex, multi-workstream programmes, ensuring clarity across milestones, decisions, and dependencies. Align communication plans to leadership rhythms and planning cycles. Anticipate confusion points and concerns, addressing them proactively. Track effectiveness and adjust as programmes evolve.

Topic Expertise & Thought Leadership

Build deep knowledge of assigned strategic topics and help translate them into accessible, relevant narratives for internal and external audiences. Support senior leaders’ external presence with materials for conferences, customer forums, and speaking engagements. Collaborate across teams to ensure messaging is accurate, consistent, and resonates with different stakeholder groups.
