We’re looking for a Communications Writer to join our marketing team on a fully remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your writing and communications skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.
About the role
You’ll create and implement communication strategies, develop compelling content, and help shape messaging across multiple platforms. Your work will support key business goals and help build thought leadership through media placements, newsletters, social media, and other communications channels.
You’ll work closely with senior communications leaders, marketing professionals, and team members to develop content that resonates with both internal and external audiences. This role offers genuine variety—from writing press releases and articles to managing social media, coordinating events, and supporting media relations.
What you’ll be doing
• Develop and execute communication strategies and content plans
• Write press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and other professional communications
• Create and adapt content for multiple platforms and audiences
• Support media relations, including pitching stories and coordinating interviews
• Manage social media channels and draft targeted posts
• Research and write award submissions and nominations
• Collaborate with team members across the organisation to align messaging and goals
• Identify opportunities for media placements and external coverage
• Support internal communications and event planning as needed
Skills/background needed
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives
• Excellent prioritisation and time management abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube
• Comfortable learning new tools and systems, including AI-assisted writing tools
• A self-starter mentality with strong teamwork skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred experience includes professional writing or communications work, familiarity with AP Style, understanding of media relations, and experience with social media management. However, full training will be provided—prior experience in these specific areas is not required to apply.
