Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Communications Writer to join our team and help develop our organisation’s messaging and public presence. What You’ll Do
Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading press releases, website content, social media posts, and other communication materials for clarity and professionalism
Support media relations efforts by preparing information kits, coordinating interviews, and helping maintain contact lists
Manage social media platforms through content scheduling, community engagement, and basic analytics tracking to increase reach and engagement
Contribute to communication planning by researching audiences, tracking media trends, and suggesting effective messaging approaches
Help organise public speaking events and community outreach activities by coordinating logistics and preparing materials
Work with designers to produce engaging content for digital campaigns and print materials
Monitor media coverage and compile reports to measure the success of communication initiatives
Skills/Background Needed
Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to proofread carefully
Comfortable speaking publicly and interacting with media
Ability to research topics thoroughly and write clear, engaging messages
Experience managing social media accounts
Familiarity with website content management systems is helpful but not essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail
No prior experience in communications or public relations is required. Full training will be provided.
