Marketing Writer & Partnerships Coordinator – Entry Level

About the role

You will own the core marketing functions for a growing organisation: building referral partnerships, managing event calendars, overseeing advertising spend, and growing social media presence. This is an entry point into a hands-on marketing role where you will set strategy, control budgets directly, and work closely with senior leadership with no layers in between.

Key responsibilities

Referral partnerships (primary focus). Build and maintain relationships with professionals across healthcare, financial services, and related fields. This includes in-person meetings, co-hosted events, workshops, and consistent follow-up to ensure strong partnerships. You will track all activity in a CRM system so progress is documented and visible.

Events and workshops. Manage the complete event lifecycle: scheduling, venue selection, registration coordination, partner outreach, logistics, video conferencing setup, follow-up email sequences, and attendance tracking. You own the results for every event you manage.

Advertising and media planning. Plan and manage paid advertising across multiple channels to drive attendance and engagement. You will negotiate with vendors, manage budgets, and analyse what each channel costs and delivers. You will have real budget authority and the freedom to test new approaches.

Social media and content. Manage Facebook and LinkedIn completely: content planning, writing, promotion, and paid campaigns. Build graphics using Canva. You will work with a real paid social budget and have latitude to experiment with different approaches.

Community engagement. Support organisational community initiatives and events as needed.

Tools you will use

You will work daily with AI writing tools, Canva, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn, a CRM system, and email marketing software. Training will be provided on all tools. If you discover a better tool for the job, you can make the case for it.

Skills/background needed

2 to 5 years of experience in marketing, partnerships, business development, or event management. Demonstrated experience owning projects end to end, not supporting others’ work. Strong written communication: clear emails, engaging social posts, and concise ad copy. Hands-on experience running and reporting on paid social campaigns. Comfort meeting and building relationships with professionals face to face. Basic familiarity with AI tools, or genuine interest in learning them quickly. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel locally to venues and meetings. Ability to maintain confidentiality around sensitive matters.

Nice to have

Experience marketing to audiences aged 55 and over. Background in legal services, senior living, healthcare, or financial services. Media buying experience. CRM administration experience.
