Scientific Writer & Research Project Coordinator – Entry Level, Remote

We are looking for a Scientific Writer and Research Project Coordinator to join a growing research team. In this role, you will support clinical, translational, and research activities by helping to lead grant writing efforts, develop research proposals, and shepherd projects from initial conception through publication.

You will work closely with research scientists, laboratory staff, biostatisticians, and regulatory teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a fully remote position ideal for someone with a keen interest in scientific writing, health equity, and research administration who is eager to learn and grow under the mentorship of experienced researchers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Write, edit, and proofread grant proposals, scientific manuscripts, clinical study protocols, and other research documents for faculty, researchers, and students
• Support end-to-end grant writing efforts, including identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, and managing deliverables
• Prepare data tables, figures, study schematics, and visual materials for publications, presentations, and conference posters
• Assist with research portfolio management, operations, and cross-functional collaboration
• Support the design and management of research projects, tracking progress and performance
• Help develop community-engaged research initiatives and manage pilot funding programs
• Build in-depth knowledge of research goals, health equity frameworks, and research operations

Skills/background needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in a biomedical, health, or science-related field; or Master’s degree in public health, biomedical sciences, or related discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects
• Experience or genuine interest in scientific writing, clinical research, health equity, or research administration
• Comfortable learning new tools and processes
• Collaborative approach to working with diverse teams
• No prior professional experience required – we provide full training
