Position: Human Resources Specialist

Position Overview
We’re seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our HR team. In this on-site role, you’ll support a compliant, ethical, and positive work environment by helping with employee relations, workplace compliance, and HR administration. You’ll work as a trusted partner to leadership and employees, handling day-to-day HR tasks and learning the full scope of human resources practice in a real-world setting. No prior HR experience is required—we provide full training and mentorship to help you grow into this role.
What You’ll Do
Employee Relations & Workplace Culture
Assist with workplace investigations into employee concerns and conflicts, learning best practices in impartial case handling. Support leadership with guidance on performance management and fair corrective action. Maintain confidential documentation of HR matters. Help identify patterns in employee relations issues and suggest ways to prevent problems before they start. Contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace culture aligned with company values.
Compliance & Risk Management
Learn employment law requirements and help ensure the company meets federal, state, and local employment standards. Monitor adherence to overtime, break periods, and attendance policies. Assist with HR policy development, review, and implementation. Provide basic guidance to leadership on employment law best practices. Support internal audits and compliance reviews under supervision.
Time & Attendance Administration
Work with timekeeping systems and HR administration software, learning how to maintain accuracy and identify issues. Review timecards and attendance records. Help leadership enforce attendance policies fairly and consistently. Use data to spot trends and improve workforce effectiveness.
Training, Documentation & Support
Help facilitate training on compliance, performance management, workplace ethics, and conflict resolution. Prepare and maintain HR records including case summaries, policy updates, and documentation. Work cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to support the workforce. Assist with onboarding and employee lifecycle processes.
Skills/background needed: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Entry-level HR experience or related background welcome. Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion. Comfortable working in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn HR software systems. Ability to commute to our on-site location daily.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
