We’re looking for a junior technical writer to join our team on a fully remote basis. You’ll create clear, user-focused documentation that helps people understand and use technical products effectively. No prior experience is required – we provide full training and support as you develop your skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

Research and Information Gathering: Interview product managers, review product samples, and gather data to understand how features work and what they do.

Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread documentation for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

Audience Analysis: Assess the knowledge level of your readers (end-users, technicians, developers) and adjust your writing tone and technical depth accordingly.

Documentation Management: Organize information logically, create visual aids like diagrams and charts, and manage documentation using standard systems.

Collaboration: Work with engineering, quality assurance, and customer support teams to ensure documentation matches product development and user needs.

Review and Testing: Gather user feedback to improve content and test documentation for usability and accuracy.

Skills/background needed:

Strong Writing Ability: The capacity to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely, with solid grammar and attention to style.

Technical Interest: A genuine curiosity about how technical products work and the ability to learn new tools quickly. A background in a technical field is helpful but not essential.

Attention to Detail: Careful proofreading and editing to catch errors and ensure documentation works as intended.

Research and Analytical Skills: Ability to break down complex information, analyze it, and organize it logically for readers.

Communication and Teamwork: Strong ability to work with different teams and explain ideas clearly to people with varying technical backgrounds.

Software Familiarity: Basic experience with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and similar tools is helpful. We’ll train you on any specialized documentation software.

Documentation You’ll Create
