About the role:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Manager to join our publishing marketing team. You’ll develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns for young adult and crossover titles, working closely with editors, publishers, sales colleagues, and authors. This role offers the chance to collaborate across a fast-paced, creative environment and bring books to readers through strategic marketing.
What you’ll do:
• Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns for key titles, spanning retailer promotions, advertising, social media, and consumer events
• Manage content development for retail and consumer materials, including advertising, displays, promotional items, and digital assets
• Write marketing copy and partner with design teams on campaign execution
• Collaborate on consumer event and festival strategy, including sponsorships and on-site coordination
• Contribute to social media content planning and production across multiple channels
• Work with editorial, publicity, sales, and creative services teams to communicate and execute marketing plans
• Prepare marketing presentations and campaign documents
• Manage campaign timelines, seasonal schedules, and key deadlines
Skills and background needed:
• At least four years of marketing experience with a focus on integrated campaigns; publishing experience is strongly preferred
• Genuine interest in young adult literature, authors, readers, and marketplace trends
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation abilities
• Familiarity with core marketing channels including email, social media, and advertising
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Comfortable with social media visibility
Contract length: Full-time, permanent
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application
Location: Hybrid position based in the New York area. Some travel to events and conferences outside the office location may be required.
