About the Role:
We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team. You will create, update, and manage technical documentation that supports our operations and programmes. This is a full-time position offering hands-on experience in a professional environment with comprehensive training provided.
What You’ll Do:
• Create, update, coordinate, and maintain technical documentation• Review and analyse programme documentation for consistency, quality, and compliance with standards• Coordinate modifications to technical plans and participate in planning meetings• Assist in requirements research by evaluating feasibility and technological alignment• Support the development of clear, testable requirements by balancing user needs with practical constraints• Prepare briefing packages and presentation materials for leadership• Write technical articles, reports, guides, and manuals for diverse audiences• Manage graphics, layout, and document production• Ensure all content meets quality standards and organisational guidelines
Skills/Background Needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail• Experience with technical documentation, user manuals, or similar materials (or willingness to learn)• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Organisational skills and ability to manage multiple documents simultaneously• No prior military or defence sector experience required – full training will be provided
