Content Writer & Graphic Designer – Entry Level, Remote

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative Content Writer and Graphic Designer to join our Communications Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wants hands-on experience creating marketing materials across multiple brands and projects.

You’ll serve as a key creative resource, developing marketing materials for events, print publications, presentations, social media, websites, email campaigns, and more. You’ll take concepts and turn them into polished finished products, bring ideas to the team, and take ownership of projects from start to finish.

What You’ll Be Doing

Graphic Design & Event Marketing

Develop creative concepts and visual identities for events, carrying themes across promotional graphics, presentations, signage, programs, and social media materials. Design flyers, brochures, advertisements, email banners, website graphics, and other print and digital assets. Create and update logos and branding elements as needed. Design presentation templates and polished presentations for meetings and events. Serve as a creative resource for team members developing email, website, social media, and event marketing.

Publications & Print

Design multi-page publications for events and programs. Work with content and data for directories, recognition materials, and similar projects. Prepare materials for professional printing and help coordinate production. Carefully review copy, layouts, and proofs for accuracy and consistency.

Social Media & Content

Create, schedule, and publish social media content across multiple accounts. Develop engaging ways to promote events, education, and initiatives. Adapt content for different audiences, platforms, and brands. Support events with social media coverage and content capture.

Writing & Communications

Develop marketing materials with consideration for audience, message, and desired action. Turn event information into clear, visually compelling communications. Write and edit marketing copy, headlines, captions, and calls to action. Proofread creative and copy for accuracy and consistency. Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high quality. Bring creative ideas to the team.

Skills & Background Needed

A portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design and creative abilities (student, freelance, and professional work all welcome). Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva. Experience creating presentations using PowerPoint and Google Slides. Strong visual design fundamentals, including typography, layout, hierarchy, and composition. Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills. Strong written communication and editing skills. An understanding of marketing basics, including audience, messaging, and communication channels. The ability to take direction and develop creative solutions. Strong organization and time management. A collaborative attitude and comfort receiving feedback.

Bonus Skills

Short-form video creation and editing. Event photography or videography. Experience with professional print production.
