About the role:
We’re looking for an entry-level Communications Writer to join our team. You’ll help create and distribute written content that communicates important information to our audience. No prior experience is necessary – we provide full training and support as you grow in the role.
Your day-to-day work will include writing newsletters, social media posts, and other communications; helping design and edit publications; taking photographs and video for our materials; and supporting our communications team with various tasks. You may also attend events and meetings to capture content and support our communications efforts.
What we’re looking for:
You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable speaking clearly in front of groups. Experience with digital photography, audio-visual equipment, or basic video is helpful but not required. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, or a willingness to learn them quickly, is important. You’ll also need to be organised, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
What you’ll use:
Standard office software including word processors and spreadsheets; video and digital cameras; video editing software; and design tools.
What to expect:
This role involves working at a computer for extended periods and may require occasional travel. You may need to attend events or meetings outside standard working hours. Full training on all tools and processes will be provided. We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in written communication.
Skills/background needed:
No specific qualifications are required to apply. We welcome candidates with any background who are enthusiastic about learning to write, edit, and create communications materials. Relevant experience in writing, design, photography, or media is a bonus but absolutely not necessary.
