Content Writer & Video Producer – Entry Level, On-Site

Position Summary

We’re seeking a creative visual storyteller to join our communications team as a Content Writer and Video Producer. This role focuses on creating compelling video and photographic content, along with managing our social media presence.

You’ll capture stories through high-quality video and photography, develop engaging concepts, conduct interviews, and edit polished content for marketing, advertising, and social platforms. You’ll also manage our day-to-day social media presence across multiple channels, creating content that resonates with audiences in your local community and beyond.

No prior experience is required – full training will be provided to help you succeed in this role.

Reports to: Communications Leadership

Essential Responsibilities

Create visual content

Capture photography and video at events, rehearsals, programs and community activities. Produce engaging short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook. Create longer-form videos for YouTube, websites and special campaigns. Edit video and photography to produce polished, platform-specific content. Build and maintain a growing library of photo and video assets.

Tell meaningful stories

Identify compelling stories that showcase the people and impact of the organization. Interview musicians, artists, students and community partners. Develop behind-the-scenes features that make audiences feel connected. Capture authentic moments that demonstrate emotional impact. Help translate specialized topics into engaging, accessible digital storytelling.

Manage social and digital content

Plan and execute content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and emerging platforms. Develop creative content ideas that support audience engagement and organizational goals. Write engaging captions and digital copy. Monitor trends and recommend fresh approaches to reach new audiences. Manage content scheduling, publishing and community engagement across all platforms.

Collaborate on organizational communications

Work with different teams to tell stories across the organization. Produce visual assets for email campaigns, advertising and special initiatives. Help document organizational milestones and community partnerships. Assist in maintaining brand consistency across digital platforms.

Skills/background needed: Basic experience with video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut), familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook), strong writing and storytelling skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and willingness to work evenings and weekends for live events. Photography and videography experience is a plus, but training will be provided.

Contract length: Full Time, Permanent

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Location: Local positions available. This is an on-site role that requires a combination of time at the main office as well as travel to local events. Evening and weekend work is part of the role.
